First of all hearing aids do not work in a drawer. They only work in your ears. Pets are a number one cause of damage so make sure your hearing aids are out of their reach.

Hearing aids must be cleaned so every night after removing your hearing aids you should clean them using the provided cleaning tools. This is performed by gently scooping any debris out of the center of the earbud or the canal end of the hearing aid for custom models. Some hearing aids have wax filters under the earbud or on the receiver end of the hearing aid that will need to be changed periodically.
Hearing aids must be placed in the correct ear (s) all hearing aids are specific to the right or left ear. They must
be inserted into the appropriate ear for maximum hearing benefit and to ensure that they do not fall out. Your hearing aids may need adjusted/programmed.
