As a teen, you can learn how to get taller by doing stretching exercises that will actually allow you to grow a little more than you naturally would. There are also medications that can be taken to increase your growth hormone, but you definitely want to consult your doctor as medication is never anything that you would want to attempt to do on your own and without supervision.
Once you have hit adulthood, your options are much more limited, but you will be surprised at the difference some of these things will make in your stature. Something that you may not have looked at is how you stand and sit. The natural complex of being shorter can make people slouch down and actually take even more of your height away from you. Stand up and sit up straight and you really will be adding inches to your height. Of course a lot of this has to do with self esteem, so you need to see yourself for the beautiful person you are on the inside and forget about your height challenges.
Breathing exercises are also something that can be used to help you become taller. The idea is to take long, deep breaths instead of short breaths as they do not allow your body to reach its full height. You could also consider things like shoe lifts that will give you an obvious boost. Remember though, the moment the shoes come off, it is back down to normal size.
Your clothing can also help give an appearance of height. Wearing vertical stripes and long straight legged pants can help you look taller. Don’t wear anything that cuts you off at the waist or accentuates your small stature.
While your best chances to increase your height is during your younger years, do not hold your head low and wallow in it if you are an adult. Remember to follow the few tips that you have read here and stand up straight and hold your head up high. If people don't want to take the time to get to know you because of your height, you are better off without them in your life anyway.
